Teacher Charlyn’s Reflection on LIT 102
As I look back on my LIT 102 class, I feel proud of how much I’ve learned and how far I’ve grown as a developing teacher. This course helped me understand the importance of reading, writing, and creative expression in the primary classroom. I explored different genres, narrative writing, persuasive letters, descriptive pieces, and poetry and learned how each one can be taught in fun, meaningful ways that support young writers.
Throughout the class, I practiced creating my own writing pieces, designing student-friendly activities, and reflecting on the challenges young writers face. I also learned how to guide students through brainstorming, drafting, editing, and sharing their work. Most importantly, I discovered how to build confidence in young writers by giving them supportive feedback and opportunities to be creative.
Overall, LIT 102 strengthened my skills as both a writer and a future educator. I feel more prepared, more creative, and more excited to help my students grow into strong, joyful writers.

It was indeed a pleasure having you all. The activities we did in class were so much fun!
