‘Plumpy the
Pumpkin’
Have
you ever seen a plumpy pumpkin? In October, during Halloween, my favorite plant
comes alive. Its flowers are bright and yellow. The swirly vines are long and
thick with big green leaves. Plumpy the pumpkin is round, large and heavy. She
tastes as sweet as honey. Her scent and the earths are the same. To know if she
is ready for picking, you knock on her skin and listen for her empty sound. The
pumpkin patch is the perfect place for picking the plumpiest pumpkins.
