Rooted in Curly Hair - Expository Writing
Good night everyone! Tiana here š. I’m sharing a short piece I wrote in class about my curly hair. Writing about my curls helped me express how proud I am of them and all the ways they show my personality. This piece reminded me how fun and freeing writing can be when we let our ideas flow, just like my curls move and shine in their own rhythm. I hope my expository piece inspires you to embrace your own uniqueness, take pride in who you are, and share your story with the world in your own special way!
My curly hair is full of
life, beauty, and personality. Each curl has its own shape and bounce, showing
off its natural charm. Just like flowers that bloom in different ways, my curls
have their own way of shining. This will explain why my curly hair is unique,
how I care for it, and why it makes me proud of who I am.
To
begin with, my hair is soft, springy, and very versatile. It can be styled in
many different ways depending on how I feel. Sometimes I wear it in twists or
braids, and other times I just let my curls shine freely. All it takes is a
little water to bring my curls back to life, making them glow and feel fresh
again. My hair changes easily, which means I can have a new style whenever I
want. It’s like having a crown that I can design in many ways.
My
naturally curly hair connects me to my culture and heritage. It reminds me of
where I come from and makes me proud of my roots. Each curl tells a story of
strength, pride, and beauty. When I look at my hair, I see more than just curls,
I see history, family, and identity. My curls help me feel confident and remind
me that being natural is something to celebrate.
My curly hair dances with its own rhythm, each twist and coil full of character and life. It flows like a river of stories, carrying strength, beauty, and pride with every movement. It is more than hair, it is a celebration of who I am, a crown I wear every day, unique and alive in ways that only my curls can tell.
